Class Description

You don't need to be a Johnny Cash fan to love this 4-hour class. Melissa Stephens will show you how to safely play with fire to create amazing artwork! Connect with your inner pyromaniac to effortlessly create hot new art. Visit Melissa's studio to explore wood burning & stamping with an encaustic stylus. Create charred textures, learn how to brand and safely burn papers using specialized techniques and tools. With help from demonstrations and instruction, you will learn how to easily embed your artful ephemera into luscious layers of encaustic paint. At the end of class, you will have up to 3 new paintings to share. No prior art experience necessary. Must be 18+ years of age.

Cancellation Policy

Classes cannot be refunded, but you can contact Melissa at least 24 hours before class time to reschedule.
