Class Description

This class will help you build on your own great image to create a new masterpiece. Add luscious layers, depth and luminosity to your photographs with encaustic paint. Great as gifts or beautiful additions to your home décor. Photo encaustic paintings are a treasure! Light up your original photographs while adding a 3-dimensional aspect that draws your viewer in with amazement. Melissa Stephens will teach you the basics of encaustic painting so that you can develop your own unique style. Reap the benefits of Melissa's skill and knowledge as you experiment with your new-found skills using pan and oil pastels, pigment sticks and carved line. No previous art experience necessary. Must be 18+ years of age. This class requires registration at least 1 week in advance.
