Class Description

Unlock the secrets of ink in this 4-hour encaustic class. Connect with your inner artist to create up to 3 new paintings. Pigment based inks are safe and fun to use with the encaustic medium. In this class, Melissa Stephens will teach you techniques with inks as a base layer and as a way to create patterns, lines and other designs within the encaustic layers. There will be plenty of time to explore how the ink can be manipulated through dilution, used as an expressive texture tool, or by scraping and fusing. Find out how alcohol inks add a special look with the addition of mottled spray and blown out edges. No previous art experience necessary. Must be 18+ years of age.

Cancellation Policy

Classes cannot be refunded, but you can contact Melissa at least 24 hours before class time to reschedule.
